The Public Relations Officer of the United National Congress, Dr. Kirk Meighoo in his defense denided claims that he resigned from the party.
Dr. Meighoo in a media release issued this evening, said that the release which states he resigned from the party was FAKE.
“Please note that a fake press release has been circulating today, purporting to come from the UNC, in particular myself,” said Dr. Kirk Meighoo.
Dr. Kirk Meighoo said “several media houses have contacted me to confirm that the release is indeed a counterfeit document, though made to look real.”
To clarify where official releases will be issued he said they will come from the party’s email’s account and will also posted on their official Facebook page.
“In case of any doubt, we encourage media outlets to clarify by calling the phone numbers provided on each release.”
“We expect further acts of desperation and purposeful disinformation in the coming days, weeks and months.”
