Dominica Making Plans On Appropriate Reward For Olympic Gold Medallist Triple Jumper, Thea Lafond Gadson

Dominica Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skeritt, says the country will reward Thea Lafond-Gadson who won the island’s first Olympic medal, a gold in the women’s triple jump on August 3.

In a telephone interview with her, Prime Minister Skerrit told Lafond-Gadson an announcement will be made at an appropriate time on this matter.

Skeritt said “We celebrate with you and look forward to celebrating with you even more when you return home. Everyone in Dominica is ecstatic.

We will share with you some of the things the government plans to do at the appropriate time,” .

Prime Minister Skeritt  said he had received many messages of congratulations from several quarters adding her accomplishment will served as a source of inspiration of young people.
