Diego Martin police return stolen vehicle to owner, hunt for car thieves

Western Division police officers are calling on anyone with information on persons involved in car thefts in the area to
report them to the police immediately.

The appeal comes as police officers recovered yet another vehicle in the district on Tuesday night.

According to the victim, at 9:15 pm on Monday, she locked her white KIA K 2700 vehicle a short distance away from her Croney Drive, St Lucien Road, Diego Martin home, and proceeded inside.

A few hours later, she was awakened by the sound of her vehicle being started and observed it being reversed from the street.

The woman’s companion managed to stop the vehicle using anti-theft technology.

They reported to police that they saw two men dressed in long dark clothing exiting the vehicle and running away.

Police responded and recovered the vehicle.

It was taken for forensic processing and returned to its owner.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crime or have information on car thieves in the area are asked to call the police via its hotlines at 555 or 999 or report via the TTPS’ App or website.
