A casual fun filled Sunday afternoon turned disastrous when eight people were swept away at Argyle Water Falls in Tobago while bathing.
According to reports the incident took place just after 3pm.
The water broke the river’s bank after a heavy downpour of rain, washing all 8 down stream.
Fire officials at the scene recused six people who were responsive while two were reported as unresponsive.
Officials from TEMA are also on the scene.
