Hadad says reopening of retail sector the “best news,” but she’s not supporting mandatory vaccines

President of the Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Diane Hadad said the reopening of the retail sector was the “best news” that the business sector can get at this time.

However, speaking to media following the announcement by the Minister of Health on Saturday, Hadad said that although the reopening is great news, the question will be how many people will be able able to reopen their doors.

She said “I would surely hope between the landlords and the financial sectors that they will find creative ways to assist the people to get back up and running. The other aspect is that the economics and the movement of the spend are there to make even businesses who start back up be able to survive.”

On the issue of a call by the head of another Tobago Chamber for mandatory vaccination, Hadad, in an interview with GML, said she will not support that, as being vaccinated is a personal choice.
