Authorities in St. Augustine responded to a report of the discovery of a decomposing body.
Hollis Esdelle, 59, was found on Monday, April 24th, 2023, around 1 pm, by his neighbour.
Hollis had complained of feeling unwell at the time.
His neighbour said she began noticing a foul smell coming from Hollis’s residence a few days later and decided to contact the authorities.
Just after 10am on Friday 28th April 2023 a team from the Tunapuna Fire Station team used force to enter the home.
Upon entering, officers and firefighters discovered the body of a nude male in an advanced stage of decomposition inside the house.
The body was lying on its back with its head in an easterly direction and feet to the west.
The scene was visited by DMO Dr. Perreira, who made her pronouncement and ordered the removal of the body.
The authorities are urging anyone with information that may help their investigation to come forward.
