The death of a four-month-old baby at her Princes Town home is currently engaging the attention of police.
Around 2.05 am on Wednesday, 32-year-old Isabel Emely, a Venezuelan national, arrived at the Princes Town Health Facility with her baby, Emely Marquez. However, the baby was unresponsive.
A police report said that doctors performed CPR, but she was pronounced dead 15 minutes later.
Doctors who attended to the baby told police officers that milk emanated from the child’s mouth during CPR.
The baby’s body bore no marks of violence.
An autopsy is expected to be done this week.
