Comedian Dave Chapelle says he will meet with members of the LGBTQ community but will not be summoned by them.
In a video posted to his Instagram, Chapelle said he has no issue with the LGBTQ community.
Netflix workers walked off the job last week and staged a protest outside the company’s office in protest against comments Chapelle made in his most recent special “Closer”
In the special, Chapelle is quoted as saying “Gender is a fact”, somethign which has upset the transgender community.
Chapelle pointed out that while Netflix workers say they want a safe working environment, he is the only one who can’t go to the office anymore.
Chapelle also accused the media of setting a narrative around the issue.
He said there is no beef with him and the LGBTQ community and claimed that there are corporate interests behind the move to cancel him.
