Next year’s Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) examination will take place on March 29, 2023.
In a release issued yesterday, the Education Ministry said the exam will focus on three areas as is the norm, namely English language arts, English language arts writing and mathematics.
The ministry said that as a result of the covid19 pandemic, there were reductions in the number of test items in maths and English language arts, and the disclosure of the type of writing for the SEA 2021 and 2022.
These adjustments, it added, are reflected in the Revised Assessment Framework (SEA) 2021-2023 on the ministry’s website.
The ministry said the Revised Assessment Framework (SEA) 2021-2023 will guide the development of the exam in 2023 and 2024 for English language arts and mathematics.
With respect to English language arts writing, the ministry said there will be no prior specification on the type of writing to be assessed for SEA 2023, 2024 and beyond.
