Czech Police add seized Ferrarri to fleet of cars

Criminals in the Czech Republic hoping to outrun the police in a high speed chase should now think twice.

Police in the Czech Republic have unveiled the latest addition to their fleet of cars – a Ferrari capable of speeds up to 326km/h.

The Ferrari 458 Italia can do 0 to 100km/h in 3 seconds and will be used for cracking down on illegal road races and chasing stolen cars among other things.

Police said the car had been confiscated from criminals.

It has been repainted and refitted and now features fluorescent yellow and blue stripes.

The vehicle will be used by the special surveillance department and will be driven by specially trained officers.
