Cuba confident Abdala vaccine will help revive its tourism sector

Cuba is confident the development of its COVID-19 vaccines once certified by the World Health Organization will help revive its tourism sector and other areas of the country’s economy.

The optimism comes from Cuban Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Tania Diego Olite.

Her Excellency made the comments during an interview on Power 102 Digital Breakfast Programme today.

Cuba is working on five COVID-19 vaccines.

Two of the vaccines are in the third phase of clinical trials. There efficacy rates have been put at ninety two and sixty-two percent.

Ambassador Diego Olite was questioned on the vaccines gaining WHO approval.

The Cuban Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago also spoke about the significance of the vaccines and the positive impact it is expected to have on the country.
