CSEC, CAPE and CCSLC results are out

The results of this year’s June/July CSEC, CAPE and CCSLC exams are out.

They were released online at 6pm last evening, and CXC says candidates can access their results at https://ors.cxc.org/studentportal.

In a release issued to media houses, the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) confirmed the results of this year’s June/July examinations for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC), was made available to students online yesterday at 6 pm.

Reminding stakeholders that yesterday’s results are only preliminary, CXC said, “Following the release of results to regional Ministries of Education earlier this week, CXC is working with schools and local registrars to ensure that any concerns raised are addressed.”

“Candidates who may have questions about their grades, may submit requests for reviews and/or queries.”

The deadline for submission of reviews and/or queries is November 15, 2021.

CXC said for students that received an “Ungraded” result – it could indicate that a School Based Assessment (SBA), SBA grade, multiple-choice paper or supporting documents was not submitted on behalf of a candidate.

They said, “Candidates may submit a query to have this result investigated. Candidates are not required to pay for this service. Queries may be submitted through schools for in-school candidates or through the Ministry of Education for private candidates.”

Candidates who attended an examination but received a result of “Absent”, CXC said, “They may submit a query to have this result investigated. Candidates are not required to pay for this service. Queries may be submitted through schools for in-school candidates or through the Ministry of Education for private candidates.”

For those wanting a review, CXC said, “Candidates who may have questions about a grade and would like to have a script reviewed, they may submit a request for a script review.”

They cautioned that, “A script review may result in an overall Grade either increasing or remaining the same. If the review results in an increase in an overall grade, the candidate will receive a refund of their review fee. Reviews may be submitted through schools for in-school candidates or through the Ministry of Education for private candidates. The cost per review is US $30.”

CXC said all candidates who sat examinations with the St Vincent & the Grenadines cohort and all those affected by Hurricane Elsa, will receive their results in the week commencing October 25.

For those wanting further information or assistance, persons can contact the CXC Helpdesk service in Barbados at +1 (246) 227-1700, between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm on both October 16 and 17.
