The credentials of Ambassador Retired Major General Edmund Dillon are now in the possession of the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs in Venezuela.
This was done on February 8th this year.
Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, told the parliament on Friday afternoon, Ambassador Dillon is now awaiting the scheduled by the government of Venezuela of the formal event for the presentation of the letters of credence.
Dr Rowley gave this update after being questioned by Opposition Member of Parliament for Naparima, Rodney Charles.
MP Charles wanted to know from the Prime Minister why Major General Edmund Dillon has not presented his credentials thus far to the Government of Venezuela, six months after being appointed.
