COVID concerns lead to schedule change at Point Fortin Social Welfare Office

Operations at the Point Fortin Social Welfare District Office have been changed as a result of the increased COVID-19 figures.

According to the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services via release, one of its staff members is a primary contact for a relative who recently tested positive for the virus.

The officer and other technical officers of the Point Fortin Local Board are now quarantined pending the outcome of tests.

The office was sanitized on Monday, however on account of the shortage of technical staff, the Ministry said there will be some constraints in servicing the public.

As such, persons are advised to delay their visits to the Office up to Thursday 29th April, unless the circumstance is believed to be of a dire consequence.
It adds that normal operations are expected to resume with effect from Friday 30th April 2021.
