Chief Medical Officer Dr. Roshan Parasram said that he has noticed a decrease in the number of persons being swabbed for Covid-19 nationally.
But, this coincides with the decrease in viral illnesses presenting to the health centres in the counties each day.
At a Ministry of Health press conference on Wednesday, however, Dr. Parasram focused on one County, St. George East.
In this graph, the blue line represents Covid tests/swabs conducted while the orange line represents viral illnesses.
Dr. Parasram said that the data shows swabs that were taken at the health centres in the various Counties across the country, and does not reflect information for primary health care centres or those who were swabbed at home.
