Covid-19 survivor, Brent Teixeira, reflects on his sixteen days battle with the virus and commends the medical workers who took care of him while at the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility from October 15th last year.
Speaking at the Ministry of Health virtual news briefing Monday, Mr Teixeira said he was eventually transferred to the Arima Hospital.
Mr Teixeira said he experienced challenges with his heart, liver, kidney and lungs as well as encountered low energy levels.
Mr Teixeira while at the Couva Hospital the patient in the bed next to him became a close friend and was the only child of his mother passed away.
He then urged the public to get vaccinated against Covid-19 as soon as possible.
