Thirteen more people have succumbed to COVID-19 as Trinidad and Tobago’s vaccination statistics remain abysmally low.
This was revealed in the Ministry of Health’s 4pm clinical update.
According to the statistics, 395,533 samples have been tested at both public and private facilities.
Of that figure, 57,419 have been confirmed positive. This total includes 90 cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
Besides, 13 more fatalities have pushed the death toll to 1,709. The victims were eight elderly males, two elderly females, one middle-aged female and one young adult female.
Five of them had multiple comorbidities including a mix of diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, kidney disease, heart disease and a history of stroke. Three of the victims had diabetes as their only comorbidity while five of them had no known complications.
