There are concerns about what is being described as the growing infestation of the Giant African Snail across the country.
Couva South Member of Parliament, Rudy Indarsingh, says his constituents have reached out to him in frustration and deep concern over the growing population of Giant African Snails in Couva and environs.
In a media release on Wednesday, MP Indarsingh said constituents informed him they have reached out countless times to the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries for their intervention.
MP Indarsingh claimed in all instances, the Ministry failed to respond with any assistance on removing this population.
The Opposition MP claimed they continue to advise persons on how to control the growing population of snails.
