Enhance service delivery, reduce delay and backlog, these are the aim set out by the judiciary in a bid to improve the justice system locally.
To accomplish this requires data driven management, collaboration and reengineering.
It’s a point highlighted by Court Planning Director of the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago, Anderson Gordon, during the Joint Select Committee of National Security on criminal justice system on Thursday.
Mr Gordon said the judiciary is aware the country is facing a high crime rate, high domestic violence rate and larger than expected caseload at the Children Court.
Mr Gordon indicated what is being done to address the situation.
