Couple charged for bathing at Maracas Bay

Two people were arrested on Thursday fo bathing at Maracas Bay, one day after new Covid19 restrictions were placed on bathing on the nation’s beaches.

Reports are that Maracas Bay Police were on patrol around 2:30pm, when on reaching the Fishing Village, Maracas Bay they noticed two persons, Stacy Timothy of Le platte Village, Maraval and Akini Romany of Moraldo Street Maraval, bathing in the sea waters.

They were both spoken too and told of the offence they had committed. They were then cautioned and taken to the Maracas Bay Police Station and charged for the offence.
