Couple arrested for breaking into church to play piano on first date

A couple’s first date went from the pews to the prison very quickly after they broke into a church to play the piano.

According to Police in Tennessee, the two people, now identified as 19-year-old Danielle Salvato and 20-year-old Sebastian Spencer were on a first date.

The duo met on a social media app and were going on their first date last Wednesday.

According to police, they entered the church through an unlocked door where they played a piano for about 30 minutes.

As the couple exited the sanctuary, police say they took four bibles and two drum sticks.

The girl also took a church collection plate and told police she took it as a souvenir.

The couple was tracked though CCTV cameras and when confronted by officers, they confessed to the crime, claiming they broke into the church because they wanted to play the piano and they knew churches have pianos.

The couple has been charged with misdemeanour theft and felony burglary.
