Councillor for Picton/Beetham, Akil Audain said 30 year old mother of five Ornella Greaves who was shot and killed during protest action in Beetham Gardens; family would be taken care of one way of the other.
Speaking with Izzso Media this evening, Audain said that he visited Greaves’s common-law husband, Darren Joseph on Saturday 4th July, and assured him that he will do his best for Ornella’s children.
Audain said he will also assist Joseph finalize Greaves’s NIS and assist him with getting a few items for her young children.
Audian also said that Greaves was anticipating the Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith to pay him a visit at the funeral today, Wednesday 8th July, as was promised before.
Today, Audain said Darren Joseph’s reaction to Greaves death is one filled with hurt and pain.
