Investigations are underway by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Unit to identify and charge the individuals responsible for this morning’s protest action on the Beetham Highway.
The fire coupled with a car accident left commuters frustrated and sitting in long lines of near standstill traffic from as early as 5:30 this morning.
Acting Commissioner of Police, McDonald Jacob revealed that while the TTPS and the Fire Services worked together to clear the debris, the hunt is now on to determine the parties responsible for the act.
Commissioner Jacob urged members of the public who are aware of persons planning incidents of this nature to pass on the information to the police.
