Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith has given high praises to his men.
He announced today that at least 95% of police officers turned up for duty during the 2020 General Election.
Griffith says all officers showcased exemplary and professional conduct.
He notes that the turnout could have been higher but some officers had tested positive for COVID-19 while others were in quarantine.
He says the TTPS has been functioning non-stop over the last nine months, starting with the 2019 Local Government Election.
He reports that there are 64 murders fewer in 2020 so far compared to the same period last year, while crime overall decreased by 25%.
