Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob says that he does not share the view that the murder toll is significantly increasing.
He made the comment while speaking as a guest on the Power Breakfast Show this morning.
He said that what is increasing is the proliferation of guns into Trinidad and Tobago indicating that this is the real problem.
The CoP acknowledged that there is a problem with gangs in T&T, however he said that the dynamics must be explored and understood, explaining that they have their own sense of justice.
He said that gangs are now deciding to carry out their own justice regardless of who gets hurt.
