The Confederation of Regional Business Chambers is expressing alarm and deep concern about the exponential rise in the COVID-19 cases, 328 cases.
In a media statement Thursday afternoon it said this is a very disturbing trend and the Confederation makes a call to citizens to strictly adhere to the health protocols in order to prevent any further spread.
It said these new lock down measures will be detrimental to businesses.
The Chambers said the additional restrictions as articulated by the Prime Minister will negatively impact the survivability and sustainability of the restaurants, bars and other entertainment businesses.
It said it is in support of vigorous enforcement of the Health Protocols.
It also called on the government to work with the private sector and other stakeholders to seek to bring more vaccines into the country and seekto have more citizens inoculated.
