The procedural hearing of the Commission of Inquiry into the tragic death of the four commercial divers employed with LMCS Company Limited – while doing maintenance work for Paria Trading Company on February 25th this year – will commence in August.

Acting Prime Minister, Colm Imbert, told the parliament on Monday that after the procedural hearing stage of inquiry is concluded an announcement will be made by the commissioners as to the proposed commencement date of the evidential stage of the inquiry.

The administrative infrastructure of the commission is being put in place and the commissioners are currently involved in the prehearing stage of the inquiry.

During this stage, the relevant evidence is obtained and identified and witness statements are prepared.
