Coconut vendor shot in Tunapuna

One man was killed in Tunapuna around 8:30a.m this morning.

45-year-old Anil Basdeo was shot near to Streatham Lodge Road. Residents said they heard loud explosions and upon checking, they found Basdeo on the ground bleeding from several gunshot wounds.

Although the police and paramedics were called, Basdeo died on the scene. Basdeo was a coconut vendor.

Investigations are continuing.
