Coast guard intercepts pirogue with 28 Venezuelans

The Trinidad and Tobago Coast guard intercepted a pirogue on its was to the western coast of Trinidad carrying 28 Venezuelans attempting to enter Trinidad illegally. There were reportedly two pregnant women were among the 28 Venezuelans intercepted by the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard in a release said they spotted a Venezuelan pirogue named Dona Isabel west of Gaspar Grande Island at around 1:50 am. Aboard the vessel,were 18 men and ten women, two of whom are pregnant.
