Clear Debts Before Engaging In New Investments, Urges Tobago Business Chamber Head

There is a call for the settlement of all outstanding monies owed to contractors, workers and suppliers in Tobago.

The appeal comes from Chairman of the Tobago Business Chamber, Martin George.

Mr George is urging the request be done before any major investment is carried out in the Charlotteville Eco-Tourism project.

Last week Friday it was revealed Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, Farley Augustine, said the THA will partner with the Oilfields Workers Trade Union to set up an ultra-environmental friendly vocation spot in Tobago.

Cambleton Estate, Charlotteville is the site identified for the project.

The Chamber also recommends there be caution, transparency, accountability, due diligence and proper feasibility assessment by the THA before embarking on this proposed project with the OWTU.
