Claxton Bay man shot; police trying to determine the circumstances

A 30 year old Claxton Bay man has succumbed to his injuries after being shot at a bar on Saturday.

Brandon Barclay, a phone and computer technician, died while on the operating theatre at the San Fernando General Hospital on Saturday around 1:30 pm. He had been shot five times.

Police were told that two men in a white Nissan B14 dropped Barclay at the Couva District Health Facility around 6 am and then left.

Investigators tried to speak to Barclay but he was not responding.

Police inquiries revealed that around 9 pm on Friday, Barclay left his home to go to lime at Paria’s Bar and Lounge in Claxton Bay and was seen there around 10 pm. Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3 are investigating.
