Chris Must List threatens to see local newspaper

YouTube creator Christopher Hughes says he intends to take legal action against a local newspaper over a recent article.

Known online as Chris Must List, Hughes took to his Instagram Stories yesterday (Wednesday 5th June, 2024)to address what he said was “social media misinformation”.

Among them is a report that he went with police on a “tour” through gang areas.

The story said he went for a “drive” to Laventille and East Port of Spain with police while they tried “to convince him to identify areas he visited where gang activities take place.”

Hughes insists he was locked up “24 hours a day” and says he will be filing a civil suit against the newspaper that published the story.

He also denied claims that he was a millionaire, insisting that he lives “check to check”, with his travel and accommodation expenses often greater than his average monthly YouTube earnings.

Hughes recently started a Go Fund Me to help with legal expenses.

He is due to return to court today, after being granted bail on Monday for a charge of Publishing a Statement with Seditious Intention.
