Chris Must List detained, questioned and released over money laundering allegations

YouTuber Chris Must List was detained Thursday by police.

The Canadian, real name Christopher Hughes, was detained after allegations that he and/or his electronic devices may have been used for money laundering.

Reports state that Hughes was held at the Diego Martin home of attorney Criston WIlliams around 10am, where his bail conditions mandated he stay while in the country. Police said his Apple laptop, iPhone, portable hard drive, GoPro camera and other devices were seized as part of an ongoing investigation into money laundering.

Hughes was then released after spending almost 12 hours in police custody.

Hughes was first arrested in May 2024 and charged with sedition, after he shared videos showing alleged gang members.

He returned to T&T two weeks ago to attend virtual hearings for that case.
