Child, 4, drowns in swimming pool

A toddler aged 4-years-old drowned in a swimming pool in Couva.
According to reports Ryan Jagessar, 4, was at a family gathering at Forest Hill, Balmain Couva, when relatives noticed he was missing just after 5pm.
After searching the house they found Jagessar floating face down in a swimming pool behind the house.
The child was then taken o the Couva Health Facility where he was declared dead.
An autopsy is expected to be done at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, later this week.
This is the third child that drowned within the last two months – in March seven-year-old Asaiah Josiah died when he drowned in a swimming pool in Tableland and in April three-year-old Maria Khan also drowned in a swimming pool in Gasparillo.
