Chase Village man shot outside his home

Police are trying to determine a motive for a shooting in Chase Village on Tuesday night, which saw a 28-year-old man shot in the arm.

The victim told police that at about 10:20 pm he was standing in front of his home along Bholai Trace with a group of friends, when a silver SUV pulled up next to them.

An armed man exited the back door and began shooting at the group.

The limers scampered in different directions and the suspect then re-entered the vehicle he arrived in and then drove away.

After the dust cleared, the 28-year-old man was found bleeding with a gunshot to his right arm.

The police and emergency health services were notified, and the injured man was taken to the Chaguanas District Hospital for treatment.
