A 20-year-old man identified as Ravi St Clair, was shot in the head during an incident in Chase Village on Republic Day.
The young man, of Agostini Settlement Extension, Lime Head Road, Chase Village is now fighting for his life at hospital.
Reports state that at around 1 pm yesterday, St Clair was at home with his girlfriend when two Spanish-speaking men came asking for water then one of them allegedly pulled out a gun and shot him in the head.
He was taken by relatives to the Chaguanas Health Centre and then transferred to the Mount Hope, where he remains in a critical condition.
Relatives said the shooting may be linked to a land dispute.
