Changes made to opening and closing hours at ERHA facilities for Carnival

The Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA) is advising members of the public that there will be changes to the opening and closing hours of its health facilities during the upcoming Carnival period.

The ERHA says that the Cumuto Outreach Centre will be open on Carnival Monday only between the hours of 8am to 1pm. The Matelot Outreach Centre will also be opened on Monday only between the hours of 8am and 4pm.

The Coryal Outreach Centre will also be open on Carnival Tuesday only between 8am to 1pm.

Both the Cumana and San Souci Centres will also be open on Tuesday only between the hours of 8am and 4pm.

Additionally, the Biche; Brothers Road; Grande Riviere; Guayaguayare; Manzanilla; Mayaro;Rio Claro; Matura and Valencia health facilities would remain open on both days between the hours of 8am to 4pm.

The Sangre Grande Enhance Health Centre (GP) will also be open on both days between 8am to 7pm.

The ERHA says further that the Sangre Grande hospital’s main walk- in/drive- in entrance located on Ojoe Road will be closed to the public from 6pm on Sunday, February 11 until 6am on Wednesday, February 14.

The ERHA says to access this facility, visitors should check with security officers posted at the security booth at the Katwaroo Trace Entrance.

Citizens however will have 24 hour access to the Accident and Emergency facilities at the Sangre Grande Hospital, Rio Claro Health Centre, Mayaro District Health Facility and Toco Health Centre.
