Chamber of Industry & Commerce satisfied with Phase III opening

The Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce today commends the Government for its handling of the COVID-19 outbreak, the containment of the virus has been, as the Prime Minister quoted, “Equal To Any And Better Than Many”. The Government’s actions have undisputedly saved lives and now it is time to focus on livelihoods responsibly.

The Chamber is satisfied with this next phase which was brought forward. Monday June 1st signals the return to a more sustainable economic landscape and much relief for many businesses.

The Chamber said they implore the business community to diligently follow the public health and safety protocols as advised by the Ministry of Health.

The responsible actions of all concerned will minimise the risk of a second wave occurring. The T&T Chamber supports the T&T Police Service’s role in enforcing the policies. It is critical we all comply to the No Mask, No Service policy, this will keep our employees and customers safe, as well as ensure that the other phases are brought forward earlie
