Chairman Lynch Appeals For Resource Urgently Needed For Carrying Out Commission Of Inquiry

A request has been made for the basic tools to properly carry out the work of the Commission of Inquiry into the deaths of four divers which occurred in February this year.

The petition comes from Chairman of the Commission, Jerome Lynch.

Speaking at Tower D of the Waterfront Building in Port of Spain today, Chairman Lynch said there is urgent need for those responsible for ensuring the resources and materials needed for the commission to discharge its work, to do so immediately.

Chairman Lynch also gave insight into the volume of work collected so far by the Commission which include statements from witnesses, documents, videos, photographs and correspondents.

Mr Lynch said the Commission is determined to get the facts of the development in a timely manner.

Chairman Lynch also observed a minute of silence as a mark of respect for the divers who lost their lives.
