As CEPEP contractors and their workers execute their duties outdoors, the Company reminds them about the hazards of working in hot weather and how to prevent heat-related illnesses and injuries.
The company said it is constantly communicating with contractors through its Operations and Health, Safety and the Environment personnel.
It has also distributed material to all contractors on heated-related illness, signs and symptoms as well as emergency procedures.
CEPEP said contractors also have a duty of care towards their workers and are encouraged to implement heat-stress awareness training and an emergency plan and monitor workers for signs and symptoms of heat stress and take appropriate action if they are identified.
