Celtics win but need a record breaking feat to make it to the NBA finals

Jayson Tatum scored 33 points as the Boston Celtics kept alive their NBA play-offs by beating the Miami Heat 116-99.

They now trail 3-1 in the best-of-seven series going into game five on Thursday.

However they face an uphill task as no team in NBA play-off history has ever recovered from a 3-0 deficit to win a series.

The Heat are also hoping to make history and become just the second ever eighth-seeded team to advance to the NBA Finals.

The winners will play the Denver Nuggets who are in their first ever NBA finals after completing a 4-0 sweep over the LA Lakers in the Western Conference finals.
