Fire officials are to return to the South Haven Shopping Centre today to determine the cause of a fire which partially destroyed the building.
Two workers were reportedly injured in the fire.
In a statement shared on social media by the Anand Low Price Group, the blaze began around 9:45am and caused serious damage.
All stores were evacuated as a precaution and the company says it is cooperating with authorities and will await the results of a thorough investigation on the cause of the fire.
Mr Anand Ramnarinesingh, of the Anand Low Price Group and owner of the complex, said the worker’s injuries are not serious.
He told media that the fire appears to have started in an area that was under construction, but says the official investigation by the Fire Service will determine exactly what happened.
