A call for intense action to address trade barriers which impact on the region’s ability to properly and efficiently do business especially in these crucial times.
The appeal comes from Chairman of CARICOM Private Sector Organisation, Gervase Warner.
Mr Warner was at the time speaking at the Agri investment forum expo 11 held today at the National Academy for the Performing Arts, Port of Spain.
Mr Warner said the infrastructure and support systems are vital in making trade competitive in the Caribbean.
The senior business official said there are many food items which can be grown in the region and this provides an opportunity that must be taken advantage of.
