Car recovered in Morvant one day after being reported stolen

A silver Nissan AD wagon which was reported stolen in Curepe on Monday was recovered yesterday in Morvant.

Officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF) conducted an anti-crime exercise between the hours of 9.30 am and 12.05 pm in Morvant. During the exercise, based on information received, officers proceeded to the Fernandes Compound where they recovered the vehicle.

The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Winston Maharaj, Ag Supt Alexander and Ag ASP Pariman. It was coordinated by Ag Sgt Martin and supervised by Ag Cpl Duncan and included officers of the NEDTF.

The vehicle had been secured and parked in front of an apartment building on Bedassie Street, Curepe, around 10 pm on November 29th 2020. It was discovered missing the following day around 6 am.

Investigations are ongoing.
