Canada’s Andre De Grasse wins Gold in the 200m final at the Tokyo Olympics. He won his second medal in Tokyo and the fifth of his Olympic career.
The 26-year-old from Markham, Ont. recently burned up the Olympic Stadium track on Tuesday night, sprinting to a personal best and Canadian record in the 200-metre semifinal on a scorching evening in Tokyo.
He has a Trinidadian mother Beverly De Grasse and a Barbadian father who recently passed from cancer. He has now stamped his name in Olympic history.
T&T Jareem Richards placed 8th in the race.
