A 37-year-old Arouca woman got a chilling call on Monday night, when someone she knew called and told her that her life was in danger.
The caller is reported to have told the woman that she is a target, that her life is at risk, and that an assailant can enter her house at any time.
The woman who is a WPC told officers that the caller said another woman was in charge of organizing the attack. Following the phone call, she made a report to the Piarco Police Station. She was then taken to the Arouca Police Station, and spoke to officers of the Homicide Bureau Region II office.
The woman is said to be the witness to a murder. Investigations are continuing.
