CAL forced to cancel flights due to winter storm

Caribbean Airlines has cancelled several flights to/from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport this weekend as Winter Storm Kenan threatens to pummel parts of the US East Coast with blizzard-like conditions. Forecasters have warned of snowfall totals of up to 20 inches in some states. The US National Weather Service says travel will ‘nearly impossible’ for those in the storm’s path.

Affected flights include BW 14, BW 15 and BW 526 on Saturday and BW 527 on Sunday. Flights to Toronto and Miami remain unaffected. Caribbean Airlines says affected passengers will be re-accommodated on the next available service. The airline is reminding passengers to check the company’s social media pages, caribbean-airlines.com, or contact the Caribbean Airlines Call Centres for the latest updates.

While several major US airlines have had to cancel thousands of flights in light of the weather, no flights to/from T&T have been affected at the time of writing.
