A 36 year old-businessman was shot and killed last evening in Petit Bourg.
According to reports Ian Sobers was gunned down on Thursday night – it is also suspected that police-issued bullets were found at the scene.
Further reports indicate that investigators said they received a report just after 8pm on Thursday of gunshots at Bushe Street South, at Lyn’s Spice Kitchen.
A Newsday report states when officers arrived to the scene, Sobers was gasping for breath and was later taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope.
Sobers was declared dead at 8.30 pm.
Investigators said they recovered spent shells at the scene which have been identified as police-issued.
