Businessman Christopher Hosein beaten and burnt alive

The autopsy performed on businessman Christopher Hosein showed that he died of toxic smoke inhalation and asphyxia, meaning that he was alive before he died, an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre discovered.

Hosein also suffered blunt force trauma to the head, indicating that he was beaten unconscious before his hands were bound with tie straps, mouth covered with duct tape and rope fastened to his neck.

His body was discovered burnt and bound next to his torched Kia Sorento in a track often used as a garbage dumpsite off M1 Tasker Road, Ste Madeleine.

His brother, a fire officer attached to the Princes Town branch, identified his body at the crime scene.
Police are continuing investigations into the gruesome murder.
