Business as usual at TTPS despite firings

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service says all its operations and services continue unabated.

This after it noted several media enquiries surrounding the possible effects of the recently conducted exercise involving contracted officers.

In a media release, the TTPS said that units affected by the loss of one staff member or the other, will function with all available resources, inclusive of the personnel currently attached to serve all citizens.

The release quoted Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mc Donald Jacob as saying that, as is customary with most organisations, staffing arrangements may come under review, and where necessary, new persons may be hired to fill vacancies.

The TTPS ended the statement by reiterating its commitment to its mandate to make every place in Trinidad and Tobago safe.
